23rd summer camps concludes: People-friendly policing to be promoted

ISLAMABAD:A month-long police summer camp concluded at the police lines headquarters on Friday initiative aimed to engage children aged 4-14 from the federal capital through community policing efforts.

A public relations officer said that following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, various activities have been conducted to promote community policing and enhance mutual confidence between the police and the community.

The ceremony was attended by senior police officers, children who participated in the summer camp, and their families.
A senior police officer said that the summer camp is an integral part of community policing, offering children training in first aid, swimming and self-defense over the course of one month.
Additionally, the camp includes physical exercises, archery and martial arts. All activities are conducted on a non-profit basis, with all expenses covered by the participants themselves. The camp is open to children aged 4 to 14 and aims to equip them with positive and constructive skills.
On this occasion, the parents of the children expressed their appreciation for the Islamabad Police’s efforts in organizing the Police Summer Camp School.
