Dubai Celebrates the Sweet Taste of Pakistan: Mango Festival a Resounding Success
In a vibrant celebration of Pakistani culture, the Pakistan Association Dubai, in partnership with the Pakistan Business Council and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, hosted a grand Mango Festival event in Dubai. The occasion drew a large and esteemed gathering of diplomats, dignitaries, prominent Pakistani community members, and government officials.
The festival was inaugurated by Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and Consul General of Pakistan Hussain Muhammad, with a soulful recitation of Quranic verses and the national anthem. Ambassador Tirmizi hailed the event as the most anticipated of the year, highlighting the rich history of mangoes in the Indus Valley, which is synonymous with Pakistan. He expressed gratitude to the attendees for their presence, underscoring the special significance of mangoes in Pakistani culture.
Consul General Hussain Muhammad eloquently emphasized the deep roots of Pakistani mangoes in the nation’s heritage, symbolizing hospitality and tradition. The ceremony concluded with a presentation of mementos by Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives, Government of Sindh, Pakistan. The Mango Festival was a resounding success, celebrating the sweet taste of Pakistan in Dubai.
