International Representatives Gather in China for Trans-Himalaya Forum
In a significant display of global cooperation, the fourth China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation convened in Linzhi, Southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region, bringing together representatives from over twenty countries and regions. The esteemed gathering, which took place last week, was attended by dignitaries from Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar, Afghanistan, and numerous other nations.
Themed “Harmonious Coexistence of Humans and Nature,” the forum placed great emphasis on actualizing the Nyingchi Initiative, launched at the previous year’s forum. This visionary initiative seeks to unite countries in the Himalayan region in addressing ecological challenges, enhancing environmental governance, and safeguarding biodiversity, natural resources, and the regional environment.
Since its inception in 2018, the Trans-Himalaya Forum has served as a vital platform for fostering sustainable development, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation among nations in the mountainous region. This year’s gathering reinforced the commitment to collaborative efforts in addressing the pressing issues facing the Himalayan region, paving the way for a brighter future for the region and the world at large.”
