Six injured as two groups trade fire in Karachi

KARACHI : Six persons sustained injuries in firing between two groups in Awami Colony, Dunya News reported here on Sunday.

The injured were admitted to hospital. They were identified as Hamad, Junaid, Sajid, Jafar, Adil and Syed Raza. On being informed, area police reached the spot and started investigation.

The injured were stated to be out of danger. According to police, all those injured got bullet injuries in their legs. Law enforcers launched a manhunt for the arrest of the fleeing gunmen.

With the exchange of fire, panic spreads in the area. Police have stepped up security to avoid any untoward incident.

In Sialkot, an ASI was arrested for tampering with a murder case. Accused ASI Usman was shut in the lock-up of Cantt police station where he was appointed.

A case was registered against him on the complaint of Cantt SHO Abdul Razzaq.
