KP Assembly approves resolution on Afghan trade
KP province could access other countries for trade and business
PESHAWAR : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has approved a resolution related to Afghan trade
Awami National Party (ANP) MPA Arbab Usman tabled the resolution in the KP Assembly.
In the resolution, he contended that trade with Afghanistan was crucial in terms of financial gains. Both countries were facing loss of billions rupees amid current hurdles in the trade.
It stressed that KP was central route for cross border trade and development of trade routes were inevitable.
KP province could access other countries for trade and business by extending trade.
The resolution mentioned that the reliance of the KP province on the federation would be limited by trade and business with Afghanistan.
It addressed the government of Pakistan to take measures to restore trade with Afghanistan.
KP province being strategically located has access to Afghanistan through Torkham Border just 50 Kms from Peshawar.
