Bridging the Gap: Naeem Abbasi Naqshbandi’s Vision for Pakistanis Abroad

Naeem Abbasi Naqshbandi serves as the Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council (OPWC), an organization dedicated to supporting the welfare of Pakistani expatriates and strengthening their connection with Pakistan, while also fostering ties with the UK. Under Naeem Naqshbandi’s leadership, the OPWC organizes various significant events, such as Pakistan’s Defence Day, to bring together the overseas Pakistani community. These events aim to honor Pakistan’s armed forces and promote national unity abroad.

In addition to these community events, the OPWC has worked closely with Pakistani diplomatic missions, such as the High Commission in the UK, to address important issues faced by overseas Pakistanis, including judicial matters, passport and visa issues, and promoting investment in Pakistan. Under his leadership, the OPWC distributed food packages to frontline workers in Pakistan. OPWC President Haji Abid Hussain is the backbone of the organization, always keeping his doors open and offering hospitality to the community. Many prominent mayors, councillors, and community leaders across the UK also contribute significantly to helping people and strengthening the OPWC. Naeem Abbasi Naqshbandi acts as an unpaid ambassador for Pakistanis overseas, working above political and regional distinctions, and his services are highly commendable.
