Islamabad: In a strong protest, the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) has condemned the circulation of a fake video allegedly featuring Ms. Azma Bokhari, Minister of Information and Culture for Punjab. Dr. Shahida Rehmani, Secretary WPC and MNA, denounced the video as a clear example of misinformation and manipulation, lamenting the distasteful attempt to damage Ms. Bokhari’s reputation and harm her personal and professional life.
Dr. Rehmani stated, “As women parliamentarians, we stand in solidarity with Ms. Azma Bokhari and denounce this malicious attempt to tarnish her image.” She urged the public to be cautious and not share unverified content, and requested media outlets to verify information before publishing or broadcasting it.
The Secretary WPC called for penalization of the perpetrators as per the law, demanding, “We demand an immediate removal of this fake video and call for those responsible to be held accountable.”
The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus stands united in its condemnation of this malicious attempt to harm Ms. Bokhari’s reputation and has called for swift action to be taken against those responsible.
