RAWALPINDI :A six-year-old boy drowned after accidently falling into an open manhole in Sadiqabad area of the city on Wednesday.
Rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and pulled out the boy from the manhole in unconscious condition and shifted him to hospital. However the boy died in hospital during treatment.
The deceased was identified as Mujahid Yaqoob. Meanwhile, the local residents protested against the sad incident and asked the local administration to take action against concerned authorities.
