Inaugural “chief Ministry Azadi Sports Festival” Set To start In Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi: The stage is set for the inaugural “Chief Ministry Azadi Sports Festival” at the Bachelor Degree Program level, commencing on July 28 at the prestigious Shehbaz Sharif Sports Complex in Rawalpindi. This momentous occasion will bring together 108 female students and 27 male students from 9 divisions, accompanied by their sports officers and officials, to compete in a celebration of athletic prowess.
Hosted by Rawalpindi Division, the festival has garnered unwavering support from 19 graduate colleges, which will bear the expenses of the event. Director Colleges Rawalpindi Division, Sher Ahmed Sati, announced that all arrangements for accommodation and sustenance have been meticulously completed, ensuring a seamless experience for the participants.
This groundbreaking festival, a first in Punjab at the BS and ADP level, will feature a total of 918 students from across the province. The opening ceremony, scheduled for July 28 at 9 am, promises to be a spectacular affair, setting the tone for a thrilling competition.
The festival will showcase hockey and table tennis matches, with the closing ceremony slated for August 1. The district sports department has lent its support to the organization of this event, underscoring the Chief Minister Punjab’s vision to provide sports opportunities to students, recognizing the symbiotic relationship between a healthy body and mind.
