Federal govt announces public holiday on Iqbal Day
The Cabinet Division has issued a notification of the holiday
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has declared a public holiday on Nov 9 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Pakistan national poet Allama Iqbal.
The Cabinet Division has issued a notification regarding the holiday, and various events will be organised across the country to mark Iqbal Day.
In addition, the State Bank of Pakistan has also announced a holiday for Saturday.
This year marks the 147th birth anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, also known as the poet of the East.
