Heavy rains expected in Balochistan during next 3 to 4 days
QUETTA:Regional Meteorological Center Balochistan has issued alert that heavy rains are expected in the most part of the province during the next three to four days that may cause land sliding in mountainous areas and flooding in rivers.
According to the Regional Meteorological Center of Balochistan, heavy rains spell may trigger land sliding in hilly areas as well as flash flooding in various areas including Sibi, Harnai, Ziarat, Awaran, Kech, Panjgur, Barkhan Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Jhal Magsi, Naseerabad, Jafarabad, Kalat, Khuzdar, Qila Saifullah, Loralai and Musakhail districts.
The Meteorological Centre Balochistan has advised the relevant authorities to remain vigilant during the rain spell.
The met office predicted that Kalat, Khuzdar, Panjgur, Lasbela, Hub, Awaran, Kech, Ziarat, Harnai, Sibi, Dukki, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Gwadar, Naseerabad, Suhbatpur, Jhal Magsi, Jafarabad, Usta Muhammad and Barkhan are likely to receive intermittent thundershowers on Monday.
While there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with strong winds in Quetta, Qila Saifullah, Washuk, Zhob, Sherani, Loralai, Kharan, Nushki, Chagi, Qilla Abdullah, Chaman, Mastung and Musakhail.
