Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day Celebrated at Pakistan House in Tehran
Tehran: A ceremony was held at Pakistan House in Tehran to mark the 78th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani community in Iran and officials from the Embassy.
The ceremony began with the national anthem and the hoisting of the national flag by Charge d’ Affaires Ahmad Shami. In his remarks, Mr. Shami paid tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan, including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and acknowledged their sacrifices for the creation of an independent Muslim state.
Mr. Shami congratulated the Pakistani diaspora on Independence Day and urged them to serve the country with dedication. He noted that despite facing numerous challenges since independence, Pakistan has continued to progress as a modern and progressive state, thanks to the dedication and hard work of its citizens and the grace of Almighty Allah.
