Rawalpindi: “Let’s Take Control of Our Future”
The district of Rawalpindi has joined the rest of Punjab in celebrating World Population Day 2024 with a bang! The Department of Population Welfare has launched a week-long extravaganza, packed with seminars, walks, workshops, and banners spreading awareness about the importance of population control.
The festivities kicked off with a series of seminars in all six tehsils of the district, where experts enlightened the audience about the benefits of family planning and the consequences of unchecked population growth. The events were attended by people from all walks of life, including women and men from various professions.
The department’s slogan “Let’s Take Control of Our Future” is being displayed on banners and streamers across the district, emphasizing the need for collective action to address the issue.
Speaking at one of the seminars, District Officer Population Welfare, Rawalpindi, Shirin Sukhan, said, “Our aim is to reach every household with our message and make people aware of the importance of population control. We are leaving no stone unturned to make this happen.”
The week-long celebrations will culminate in a grand finale, where all the tehsils will come together to reaffirm their commitment to population control. With its vibrant approach, the Department of Population Welfare is determined to make a difference and ensure a brighter future for all.
