Traffic Police Unveil Foolproof Plan for Youm-e-Ashur, Rawalpindi Braces for Smooth Processions
In a bid to ensure seamless traffic flow and unwavering security, Rawalpindi City Traffic Police has devised a comprehensive plan for Youm-e-Ashur. This strategic approach will witness the deployment of a substantial force of 852 officers and personnel, comprising 10 DSPs, 84 Senior Traffic Wardens, and 758 Traffic Wardens.
To facilitate the mourning processions, key routes will be diverted or closed, including:
– Committee Chowk to Iqbal Road, closed to all traffic
– DAV College Chowk to College Road, with no entry from College Road
– Fawwara Chowk, with restricted access from DAV College Chowk
Alternative routes have been designated for public transport and other traffic, with diversions and closures at various points, such as Mashriq Hotel, City Saddar Road, Cinema Chowk, and Kashmiri Bazaar.
Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi, Timur Khan, has issued a directive to all officers and personnel to remain vigilant and ensure the successful execution of the traffic plan, prioritizing security and public convenience. With this foolproof plan in place, Rawalpindi is set to witness peaceful and smooth processions on Youm-e-Ashur.
