Islamabad: In a bid to restore law and order in the federal capital, Islamabad Police has launched a massive crackdown on criminal elements, resulting in the arrest of 10,177 suspects and the recovery of stolen goods worth over Rs. 1 billion.

Robbery Gang : 881 Members of 365 Gangs Arrested

The police have also arrested 881 members of 365 gangs involved in serious crimes, including robbery and dacoity. The recovered amount includes Rs. 41.35 crore, along with vehicles and motorcycles.

War on Drugs: 1,187 Drug Dealers Arrested

As part of the ongoing “Nasha Ab Nahi” movement, 1,187 drug dealers have been arrested, and a significant quantity of drugs, including hashish, heroin, and ice, has been seized.

Property Crimes: 2,380 Accused Arrested

The police have also arrested 2,380 accused involved in property crimes, such as theft, robbery, and tampering. Vehicles, motorcycles, and stolen goods have been recovered from their possession.

Illegal Weapons: 1,110 Accused Arrested

In a crackdown on illegal weapons, 1,110 accused have been arrested, and a significant number of weapons, including rifles, carbines, pistols, and daggers, have been recovered.

Beggars and Criminals: 3,568 Beggars and 3,217 Criminals Arrested

The police have also arrested 3,568 beggars and 3,217 criminals, including court fugitives and habitual criminals.

DIG Islamabad Vows to Rid City of Crime

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza has vowed to use all resources to ensure the recovery of drug dealers and criminal elements from the federal capital. He urged citizens to report any suspicious activity or drug selling to the police immediately.
