Rawalpindi : Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has started cultivation of flower in different parks and green belts in Rawalpindi and Murree.
On the special instructions of Director General PHA, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, cultivation of beautiful flowers has been started in green belts and parks of Murree and Rawalpindi.
Cultivation of decorative and beautiful flowers is started in the early October and these beautiful flowers lasted till March and consider as beauty of winter season in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
Director General PHA said that PHA is committed to ensuring the beauty of Rawalpindi city and aims at enhancing the natural beauty of the garrison city with beautiful plants and planation meachnsim.
Meanwhile following the ending of monsoon season, PHA has also started maintenance in parks and green belts in Rawalpindi and Murree to beautify the roads and parks of Rawalpindi.
DG, PHA said that targets regarding monsoon plantation have been achieved successfully as PHA engaged all sections of the society to avail targets of monsoon plantation drive.
He said that green belts and parks are being cleaned with herbs to enhance the beauty of the garrison city.
