Advisor to Ombudsman Ensures Senior-Friendly Facilities at National Saving Centers

In a move to enhance customer experience, Advisor to Federal Ombudsman Zakir Hussain has directed officials to improve facilities at National Saving Centers, particularly for senior citizens. During a recent inspection visit to the Saddar Karachi center, the advisor identified areas for improvement, including inadequate arrangements for account holders and customers.

The advisor emphasized the need for proper arrangements, considering the center’s clientele includes pensioners, widows, and senior citizens who rely on saving schemes like Behbood Saving Certificate. The current building’s condition and congested waiting area were also highlighted as concerns.

Encouragingly, the center management assured the implementation of automation and digitization measures, including cheque books with online transaction capabilities and ATM cards for convenient transactions.

Customers expressed satisfaction with the center’s service delivery, and the advisor ensured that recommendations for improvement would be forwarded to the head office to address the issues faced by citizens and the organization.

This initiative demonstrates the Federal Ombudsman’s commitment to enhancing public services and ensuring a more senior-friendly experience at National Saving Centers.
