When parents are too protective, it can hurt their child’s ability to grow up independently. By always making decisions for them, parents don’t let their child learn to make their own choices, which can make them less confident. This can also stop them from learning how to solve problems and deal with mistakes. Overprotected kids may not learn to handle tough times, so they might rely too much on their parents. This can make it hard for them to make good decisions, control their emotions, and succeed in life. It can also make it harder for them to make friends and have healthy relationships. If parents are too protective for too long, it can have lasting effects and make it hard for their child to become a strong, independent person. According to Dr .laura Markham “When we overprotect our children, we are inadvertently telling them that they are not capable of handling life’s challenges.” I read this lines in her book  “Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids” When parents are too protective, it can hurt their child’s ability to grow up independently. By always fixing problems for them, parents can make their child rely too much on them, instead of learning to take care of themselves. This can make children feel like they can’t do things on their own, which can hurt their self-confidence. Overprotection also stops children from trying new things, making friends, and learning to deal with difficult emotions. As a result, children who are overprotected might feel anxious, unsure of themselves, and struggle to bounce back from setbacks. But when parents give their children space to learn, grow, and make mistakes, they can help them become independent, strong, and confident, and reach their full potential.
