Bushra Bibi Case Adjourned to August 12

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the hearing of a petition related to Bushra Bibi, the former first lady of Pakistan, until August 12. The petition seeks information about cases registered against Bushra Bibi in connection with the May 9 incidents.
During the hearing, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq was informed by SSP Operations Rawalpindi that Bushra Bibi had not been arrested in the May 9 cases. However, a bail application was recently submitted in the anti-terrorism court, and since the judge was on leave, the sessions court granted bail.
Sardar Latif Khosa, counsel for the petition, informed the court that Bushra Bibi’s arrest was actually made in connection to a case in Attock. After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court adjourned further hearing on the application till August 12.
