Cda Launches Environmental Endeavor In Margalla Hills
Islamabad: In a groundbreaking initiative, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has embarked on a diplomatic engagement to bolster the Margalla Hills Plantation Campaign. Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, accompanied by an entourage of environmental enthusiasts, ventured to Margalla Trail Five to announce the innovative project.
As part of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s vision, Chairman Randhawa extended an olive branch to the diplomatic community, inviting ambassadors to join the noble cause. The campaign encourages diplomats to plant trees, share their experiences on social media using #selfiewithatree, and foster environmental diplomacy.
During his visit, Chairman Randhawa met with Ethiopian Ambassador H.E Jamal Beker, who pledged his country’s support for the initiative. In a symbolic gesture, CDA will allocate spaces for various countries to plant trees, transforming the Margalla Trails into a verdant tapestry of international cooperation.
Visitors to the trails will receive plants and seedballs, empowering them to contribute to the campaign. Chairman Randhawa emphasized the need to enhance the Environment Wing’s Nursery and urged students, youths, and trail visitors to join the collective effort to beautify and preserve Margalla Hills.
This pioneering endeavor marks a new chapter in environmental diplomacy, as Islamabad becomes a beacon of green initiatives, inspiring a global community to come together for a sustainable future.
