Rawalpindi: A Chinese delegation visited Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Tuesday.
The delegation’s visit is seen as a significant step in strengthening Pakistan-China friendship and cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The delegation discussed the areas of mutual interest in various disciplines to collaborate in future. The visit focused on agricultural research and innovation, with both sides holding productive discussions. As a token of their cooperation, the Chinese delegation also informed the participants of the meeting that China pledged to donate and install a state-of-the-art irrigation system at the University Research Farm, Koont. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalizing this contribution will be signed soon.
