Commissioner Aamir Khattak Inspects Cricket Stadium

Rawalpindi : Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak along with RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa visited the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and reviewed the arrangements made regarding Test matches. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema, CPO, AC City, Sports Officer and other concerned officers were also present there.
Commissioner Rawalpindi said that the successful holding of cricket matches is a welcoming step because this not only provides entertainment to our people but also create a positive image of Pakistan internationally as a peaceful land. He said that foolproof security has been ensured for the successful conduct of the matches. He further said that the real stakeholders for the Test matches are our people for whom all these arrangements have been made, so it is important that their convenience and entertainment be given top priority. Alternative routes have been provided for the convenience of the public during this Pakistan England Test match, which will continue from October 24 to 28, 2024.
Engineer Aamir Khattak said that during the match, the traffic police should keep extra personnel on its alternative routes. He further said that all the departments should play their proactive role to provide a pleasant, safe and peaceful environment to the public in general and especially during the matches. However, it is also the responsibility of the public to fully cooperate with these departments for the sake of national interest. In order to avoid any kind of unpleasant incident, everyone should fulfill their social responsibility by showing discipline.
