Commissioner Rawalpindi directs it rationalize staff in terms of work in government departments, excess staff should report to the Deputy Commissioner’s office

Rawalpindi:: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak said that the government job is not to get salary in time only but to work and execute welfare projects swiftly in order to bring relief to the public. He said that complaints of ghost employees are coming up in some departments which is not acceptable in any case. He strictly instructed Deputy Commissioners to prepare a list of all the employees of departments in the next two days and if any such report comes out, all such employees should report to the Deputy Commissioner’s office. He further said that the number of staff in government departments should also be rationalized and excess staff should be pooled and used where there is shortage of human resources. While reviewing rhetoric brief on working of government departments, Deputy Commissioner Chakwal and Murree highlighted the laxity on part of from the Communication and Works Department. Commissioner Rawalpindi directed to surrender such XENs who are not doing their work properly.
Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Hassan Cheema, Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazarat Ali, Director General PHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha, ADC HQ, CO RWMC, RWMC, Director Health, Assistant Commissioner City, Cant, Saddar and other concerned officers participated in this meeting held at the Commissioner’s Office Rawalpindi.
Engineer Aamir Khattak further directed to identify important points regarding the green belts and beautification of roads so that work can be started there to bring naturalness to the environment. He further said that distribution centers will be established at the tehsil level for the distribution of Kisan Card for which Assistant Commissioners and Agriculture Department should complete their work. Commissioner Rawalpindi, while reviewing the performance of the previous day regarding price control, said that the implementation of the price of Roti should be ensured. He said that the exemption given to various categories in the price of Roti has been abolished. He directed that the availability of Roti at fixed prices should be ensured everywhere, especially in big hotels and restaurants.
