Denmark Offers Expertise to Islamabad in Renewable Energy and Waste Management

ISLAMABAD:Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with the Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Jakob Linulf, at the CDA headquarters on Thursday.

During the meeting, Chairman Randhawa briefed the Ambassador on various initiatives and projects underway to beautify and greenify Islamabad. He highlighted the steps taken to make CDA a vibrant organization and Islamabad a modern city.

Ambassador Linulf praised the CDA’s efforts, particularly the green and environment-friendly initiatives. He commended the establishment of the Climate Change Fund and Margalla Hills Fund for preserving the city’s biodiversity.

The Ambassador shared Denmark’s best practices in renewable energy and solid waste management, offering expertise in these fields and linking future projects with carbon credits.

Chairman Randhawa expressed interest in Denmark’s experience in solid waste management, which will be considered in Islamabad’s ongoing solid waste management initiative. He also invited the Ambassador to participate in the Margalla Hills plantation campaign.

Ambassador Linulf expressed his desire to support the campaign, along with the diplomatic community.
