Drug Bust: ANF Cracks Down On Smugglers, Seizes 8.8 Kg Of Narcotics
ISLAMABAD, In a series of daring raids, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has dealt a significant blow to drug smugglers, seizing 8.8 kilograms of narcotics and apprehending four suspects.
At Islamabad Airport, ANF officials intercepted a passenger bound for Qatar and recovered 55 ice-filled capsules. In a separate operation at Lahore Airport, 2.6 kilograms of ice and 235 grams of heroin were confiscated from a Saudi Arabia-bound traveler.
In a sting operation on Ferozepur Road in Kasur, two suspects were arrested with 3 kilograms of heroin. Meanwhile, at the Lahore Cargo Office, 2 kilograms of heroin and 1 kilogram of ice were seized from a parcel shipped from Peshawar.
The arrested suspects will face charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are underway. This crackdown by the ANF sends a strong message to drug smugglers, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to eradicating the scourge of drugs from Pakistan.
