Islamabad: A meeting was held between the Secretary of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) and a delegation from UN Women to discuss future collaborations and strengthening WPCs at the provincial level.
The meeting focused on exploring ways to enhance the capacity of WPCs in provinces, promoting gender equality, and empowering women in leadership positions.
The UN Women delegation shared updates on the recently established WPC in Balochistan, highlighting its significance in promoting women’s representation in the province.
Both parties agreed to work together to strengthen WPCs, promote gender-sensitive legislation, and support women’s empowerment initiatives.
