Government Graduate College for Women Celebrates Independence Day with Flag Hoisting and Tree Plantation
Rawalpindi: On August 14, 2024, a prestigious ceremony in connection with Independence Day was organized at Government Graduate College for Women, B Block, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi. The college principal, Dr. Fatima Gill, faculty members, and a large number of students attended the event.
The program officially began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). After the formal opening, the college principal, Dr. Fatima Gill, along with faculty members and students, hoisted the Pakistani flag and sang the national anthem.
Additionally, Dr. Fatima Gill, along with faculty members and students, participated in a tree plantation activity and planted a sapling. After this, the students expressed their love for the nation through speeches, national songs, and tableaux.
At the end of the program, Dr. Fatima Gill addressed the students, encouraged them, and congratulated and thanked the faculty members for organizing a quality event. Finally, all the participants collectively prayed for the stability, development, and prosperity of Pakistan.
