Islamabad – In a bid to equip the nation’s youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to combat climate change, the Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement (GYM) has launched a comprehensive training program on Climate Action Education Curriculum and Digital Learning Portal at International Islamic University.
The four-day initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the British Council Pakistan, aims to empower GYM focal persons and oversight committee members with advanced knowledge and practical skills in climate action education. This will enable them to effectively implement environmental initiatives in their universities, creating a robust network of informed and proactive youth dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of climate change.
Ms. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director of the National Academy for Higher Education-HEC, graced the occasion as chief guest, emphasizing the importance of equipping youth with the necessary tools to tackle climate change. The training program covers a range of topics, including climate action education curriculum, digital learning portal, and innovative approaches to sustainable development.
