Monitoring Mechanism Strengthened, Public Service Made More Accountable
Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak said that public service proves to be productive and meaningful for public actually when monitoring mechanism is strengthened. In this regard, an online app has been introduced by the Commissioner’s Office, the purpose of which is to track public applications which have been submitted in Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners, Revenue Officer and government offices. Where the status of the application can be seen online through the app, the commissioner and deputy commissioner will also be able to check the performance of their subordinate offices by observing that in how much time the application received in an office was processed. There are very strong rules for protecting consumers rights however public awareness is needed for exercising these rights . He directed that the officers receiving training should be given login immediately after giving complete training regarding app working so that public can enjoy its benefits as soon as possible.
He expressed these views while addressing the participants of training session of Complaint Management System held in Commissioner Office Rawalpindi. This training session was attended by Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazarat Ali, Additional Commissioner Consolidation Majid Ali, DGPHA Ahmed Hasan Ranjha, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Tahsildars and Naib Tahsildars of Rawalpindi district. Besides, Deputy Commissioner Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Murree along with their team participated in this training program through video link.
While giving a briefing on the occasion, it was said that this app will prove to be a great source of public relief. Through an awareness campaign, the public will be made aware of how they can submit their application. By tracing the application received under the complement management system, it is possible to find out how much time was spent by which office in its process. It should also show the status of the pending applications in all the offices and the detailed reason for the pendency should also be mentioned.
