Historic Pakistan-China Alliance Unveils Era of Unprecedented Cooperation
In a landmark move, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ushered in a new era of strategic partnership between Pakistan and China, unlocking boundless opportunities in IT, communication, mining, energy, and beyond. This synergy is set to propel economic growth, fortify regional ties, and deepen the enduring friendship between the two nations.
Addressing a high-level review meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the imperative of harnessing Pakistan-China cooperation to drive progress, lauding China’s unwavering support during challenging times and marveling at its remarkable economic ascendance.
The meeting yielded significant developments, including a potential investment of USD 5-8 billion by Chinese shoemaking companies in Pakistan and participation of 12 leading Chinese companies in the upcoming Food and Agri Expo. Moreover, 1,000 Pakistani students will receive government scholarships for advanced agricultural training in China, with merit-based selection from all provinces, prioritizing backward areas of Balochistan.
Prime Minister Sharif also expedited technical training for 300,000 students by Huawei and urged swift development of Gwadar Seaport, Airport, and Industrial Zone, poised to establish Gwadar as a regional trade hub. This landmark collaboration marks a new chapter in Pakistan-China relations, destined to yield transformative outcomes for both nations.
