ICC Champions Trophy schedule delayed due to India’s refusal to visit Pakistan
Schedule was initially set to be unveiled on November 11 through a special event.
DUBAI: The announcement of the ICC Champions Trophy schedule has been delayed due to India not traveling to Pakistan.
Sources revealed that the schedule was initially set to be unveiled on November 11 through a special event, but the event has now been canceled.
The delay in the schedule announcement is attributed to ongoing discussions between the host country (Pakistan) and other participating nations regarding this matter.
Recently, Indian media reported that the Indian team would not be traveling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, and India has expressed a preference to play its matches at a neutral venue.
Following this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that the Indian team would not be sent to Pakistan for the tournament.
