Legendary singer Kumar Sanu has refuted a viral video claiming to show him dedicating a song to Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Sanu took to Instagram to clarify that the video was fabricated using AI technology.
In his statement, Sanu asserted that the audio circulating on Facebook was not his voice and accused individuals of attempting to defame him. He emphasized that he had never sung for Imran Khan and urged his fans to disregard the fake news.
Sanu also expressed concern over the misuse of AI and deepfake technology, calling on the Indian government to take immediate action to prevent its abuse. This incident is the latest in a series of deepfake attacks on Bollywood celebrities, including Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt.
