Pakistani actor-model Vaneeza Ahmed recently shared her personal story and insights on a morning show, deviating from her usual glamorous image. She opened up about her angsty teenage years, marked by obsessive-compulsive tendencies and a strict regimen of studying to become a doctor. After experiencing personal loss, Vaneeza found solace in meditation and prayers, which became a profound practice of connection.

Vaneeza challenged societal perceptions and pity surrounding women, asserting that women should be given the confidence to choose their partners and have children when they wish to, without a time limit. She defied expectations by getting married at 39 and having her first child at 40.

The actor also addressed stereotypes associated with paternal aunts in Pakistani dramas, advocating for breaking these stereotypes and showcasing positive aspects. She expressed her disapproval of highlighting negativity in dramas and wished for her show Kuch Ankahi to challenge and change these stereotypes.

Vaneeza emphasized that being a strong woman doesn’t entail being rude and shared her experiences of being taken for granted when she’s sweet and treated with respect when she asserts herself.
