Islamabad : In a bold move to revitalize Pakistan’s economy, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has introduced sweeping visa reforms, paving the way for a significant influx of foreign investors, businessmen, and tourists.

Hailing the initiative as a “highly positive development,” the Prime Minister announced that visa-free entry would be granted to businessmen from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, ushering in a new era of investment and business opportunities.

In a major overhaul, citizens of 126 countries will now be able to secure visas within 24 hours through an online system, with traders and tourists from these nations exempt from visa fees.

This visionary policy is poised to transform Pakistan into a magnet for foreign investment and tourism, catapulting the country onto the global stage.

In a gesture of goodwill, special arrangements have been made for Sikh pilgrims holding passports from third countries to obtain visas on arrival.

To further facilitate travelers, electronic gates will be installed at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports, while a dedicated dashboard at the Ministry of Interior will monitor the implementation of the new visa regime.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the Ministry of Interior, relevant ministries, and institutions for their tireless efforts in ushering in this new era of openness and cooperation.
