In a groundbreaking ceremony held amidst the majestic backdrop of Shusha, Azerbaijan, a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and Azerbaijan’s state news agency (AZERTAC) on Monday. This monumental agreement paves the way for a new era of cooperation in news sharing and exchange, bridging the two nations with a shared vision of collaboration and mutual understanding.

As dignitaries gathered on the sidelines of the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum, Mudassar Iqbal, Deputy Director and Head of Diplomatic and Global Affairs of APP, and Vugar Aliyev, Chairman of the Board of AZERTAC, put pen to paper, sealing a pact that promises to revolutionize the media landscape of both countries.

This trailblazing agreement, a direct outcome of President Ilham Aliyev’s recent visit to Pakistan, enables the two nations to share news, photos, and videos, fostering a spirit of cooperation and information exchange. The partnership is poised to elevate bilateral ties, promote cross-cultural understanding, and empower the voices of both nations.

The MOU envisions a robust exchange of experiences, with executives, correspondents, and technical staff from both organizations embarking on professional visits to share knowledge and expertise. A commitment to providing professional assistance to each other’s representatives in Azerbaijan and Pakistan underscores the pact’s commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

As the ink dries on this historic agreement, the stage is set for a new chapter in Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations, one that promises to amplify the voices of both nations and forge an unbreakable bond of friendship and cooperation.
