On July 10, 2024, security forces and police conducted a joint intelligence-based operation in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar district, targeting a high-profile terrorist. After intense firing, three terrorists, including high-value target and terrorist commander Abdul Rahim, were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the scene. Abdul Rahim, who had a bounty of 60 lakh Pakistani rupees on his head, was involved in various terrorist activities, including the May 26, 2024 attack that martyred Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havaldar Shafiqullah. Today’s operation brought the perpetrator of this heinous act to justice.
However, four brave personnel were martyred during the operation: Sepoy Muhammad Adrees (Swabi district), Sepoy Badam Gul (Kohat district) of the Pakistan Army,
Sub Inspector Taj Mir Shah (Peshawar district),and Assistant Sub Inspector Muhammad Akram (Mansehra district) of the CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
