Rawalpind: In a bid to restore the city’s dwindling forests, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi and Forest Department launched a massive Monsoon plantation drive on Saturday. The campaign kicked off at ‘Takhtpari’, where nearly 200,000 saplings were planted, marking the beginning of a two-month long initiative.

A CALL TO ARMS FOR A GREENER PUNJAB

PHA officers urged citizens, students, and youngsters to join forces and make the plantation drive a resounding success. “A Green Punjab is our collective destination,” they emphasized. The officers highlighted the crucial role forests play in mitigating severe weather effects and combating the rising temperature, which has been exacerbated by the rapid expansion of housing societies.

A COMMITMENT TO A GREENER TOMORROW

PHA Rawalpindi has pledged to continue the Monsoon tree plantation campaign for two months, distributing saplings among citizens to ensure the initiative’s success. With this drive, the authority reaffirms its commitment to providing a green environment for the citizens of Rawalpindi. Join the movement and be a part of the green revolution!
