PPP’s Samina Ghurki becomes MNA on reserved seat
LAHORE: Samina Khalid Ghurki of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Friday became MNA on reserved seat as the PPP’s tally in National Assembly increased after the recently held by-election of NA-171.
The Election Commission of Pakistan also issued the notification in this regard.
Ghurki is PPP’s president of woman wing from the Punjab chapter.
Hailing from a veteran political family of Lahore, she has also served as the federal minister in the past.
Earlier, PPP won the by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan-III.
PPP’s candidate Makhdoom Tahir Rasheed-ud-Din secured 116,429 votes to win the NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan by-election.
