PR CEO honors officials for preventing accident
LAHORE:In a commendable display of bravery and quick thinking, Madad Ali, a gangman with Pakistan Railways, was honored by CEO of Pakistan Railways Aamir Ali Baloch for his courageous efforts in preventing a major accident involving the Shalimar Express.
According to the PR spokesperson on Thursday, Madad Ali, with remarkable alertness and presence of mind, acted swiftly to warn the oncoming train of a potential danger, risking his own life to save hundreds of passengers. His prompt actions averted what could have been a catastrophic incident.
In recognition of his bravery, he was awarded a certificate of appreciation and a cash reward.
Additionally, a reward of Rs 50,000 was announced for Abdul Ghaffar, the train driver, who immediately responded to the warning and reduced the train’s speed, ensuring the safety of all aboard. His timely reaction played a pivotal role in avoiding a serious mishap.
