Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday congratulated Pakistani player Amir Khan for winning the gold medal in the 7th Heroes Taekwondo Championship held in Thailand’s capital Bangkok.
The president appreciated the performance of Amir Khan to bring laurels to Pakistan and the nation through his fabulous game, according to a President House press release.
Conveying his good wishes for him, he expressed the hope that Amir Khan would continue to show great performance in the future too.
“The Pakistani youth is highly talented. There is a need to polish their skills and promote different games,” he remarked.
