ISLAMABAD: Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said on Saturday that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believed that Pakistan can move forward on the path to development by prioritizing the country’s progress over political disputes.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that PPP chose to limit itself on constitutional positions and gave free hand to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to implement its manifesto and cater to the public according to their will.

He added that the PPP has always placed the interests of the state above political gains, believing that economic stability could only be achieved through political stability.
He said the PPP strongly advocates for the completion of the coalition government’s full five-year constitutional term.

The PPP always emphasized the importance of politicians resolving their differences amicably to strengthen democracy, he added.
