In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Prof Ahsan Iqbal hailed China’s remarkable development journey, citing four essential principles: peace, political stability, policy continuity, and a commitment to reform. He praised China’s success in lifting 800 million people out of poverty, showcasing a remarkable model for the world.

Highlighting the unique bond between Pakistan and China, Prof Ahsan Iqbal termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a flagship project of their friendship and a shining example of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). As China charts its future course, he expressed optimism that the Pakistan-China friendship will flourish, leading to greater integration in global and regional markets.

Prof Ahsan Iqbal’s remarks came during his official visit to Beijing, underscoring the strength of the Pakistan-China alliance and their shared commitment to economic cooperation and development.
