Rawalpindi Chamber should take lead to spread word among business community about the effectiveness of Business Facilitation Center. Additional Commissioner Coordination
Rawalpindi : Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Nazarat Ali said that in order to avail the services of the Business Facilitation Center (BFC) being setup by Punjab government especiallyfor the facilitation of the community, it is necessary that to spread word among business community about it’s services and effectiveness. He directed that the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce should play its proactive role in this regard and give full awareness to the businessmen about the working of this center. He said that the aim of setting up this center is to provide all the facilities under one roof to the entrepreneurs, traders and businessmen so that they do not have to visit different offices for NOC. However, the purpose of its establishment will be met only when the business people will avail its services. For this, it is necessary to start a full awareness campaign and provide complete information about this centre to the people. He further said that the departments should direct the received applications to the center so that they can be processed quickly.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting held at the Commissioner’s Office Rawalpindi regarding the monthly review of the performance of the Business Facilitation Center. Director General RDA Kinza Murtaza, DGPHA, Manager BFC Syeda Rida Sultan, CO Rawalpindi Waste Management Company, officers of Industries, IESCO, Forests, Sui Gas and other departments participated in this meeting.
While giving a briefing regarding the performance of the center on this occasion, Manager BFC said that 29 departments including Local Government, Environment, Energy, Livestock, RDA, Punjab Food Authority, Punjab Police, Traffic, Civil Defense are in Rawalpindi Center. , Tourism, Excise, FBR, Customs, Sui Gas, ISCO, PESIC, DC Office and others are included. 163 services are being provided by these departments. Established since January 2024, this center has received 2962 applications so far, out of which 2668 have been processed and the required documents have been issued. In the briefing, it was further apprised that the services of the Agriculture Department have also been started at the Center this month, which includes Pesticides Dealers Training, Distributor and Dealers Licence. Apart from this, citizen services are also providing expert consultation to people on business and other issues.
