At the tender age of 9, Arfa became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, stunning the world with her achievement. Her journey began at the age of 5, when she discovered computers and was amazed by their magic. This curiosity led her to master Microsoft programs, earning her a visit to the Microsoft Headquarters in the USA, where she met Bill Gates.
Arfa’s achievements did not go unnoticed. She was awarded the Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in Science and Technology, the Salaam Pakistan Youth Award, and the President’s Award for Pride of Performance. She was also invited to various international forums, including a conference in Dubai, where she flew a plane at the age of 10.
In 2006, Arfa attended the Tech-Ed Developers Conference in Barcelona, where she was the only Pakistani among 5,000 developers. Her life was a shining example of brilliance and talent, proving that Pakistani students can achieve greatness with the right support and nourishment.
Though Arfa’s life was cut short at the age of 17, her legacy lives on. A software technology park in Lahore has been named after her, and her memory continues to inspire young Pakistanis to pursue their dreams.
