London: During a ceremony held at the Pakistani High Commission in London to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day, Senator Lt Gen Abdul Qayyum addressed the press, stating that the Pakistani nation is resolute in defending its territorial integrity and sovereignty, even if it requires the ultimate sacrifice. He praised the country’s armed forces for their professionalism and valor.
Gen Abdul Qayyum also paid tribute to Nadeem Arshad for winning a gold medal for Pakistan and commended Abdullah, a young individual who saved an 11-year-old British girl from being stabbed by another individual. The General posed for a photo with Abdullah and acknowledged his bravery.
