SSDO Reiterates Commitment to Human Rights on International Human Rights Day

Islamabad: On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, Executive Director of the Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) , Syed Kausar Abbas emphasized that while progress has been made in the protection of human rights, collective action is still needed to ensure their enforcement. He noted that millions in Pakistan continue to suffer from discrimination and violations of fundamental rights.

Discussing the significance of International Human Rights Day, Syed Kausar Abbas highlighted that it not only serves as a reminder of our achievements but also stresses the urgent need for actions to resolve these issues. ” As a nation, we must work together to ensure that every Pakistani, regardless of gender or ethnicity, enjoys their fundamental rights,” he stated.

Syed Kausar Abbas further pointed out that SSDO has been at the forefront of promoting human rights and social justice in Pakistan . The organization has been actively engaged in policy reforms, strengthening human rights laws and advocating for the protection of women, children and minority communities.

He emphasized that human rights are not privileges granted at the discretion of a few, but fundamental entitlements that must be protected at all costs. The struggle for social justice is ongoing and SSDO remains committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized groups and securing their rights.

Syed Kausar Abbas reiterated that SSDO will continue its efforts in collaboration with the government to ensure strict implementation and safeguarding of human rights laws. He concluded “Our struggle will not end until every citizen’s rights are recognized and their protection is guaranteed.”
