Two members of bike lifter gang arrested; stolen motorbikes recovered
Islamabad: Islamabad Police Koral and Secretariat police teams arrested two wanted members of a bike lifter gang involved in numerous bikes lifting activities and recovered two stolen motorbikes from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has started a crackdown against criminal elements and bike lifters in order to eliminate the crime from the city and protect the people’s lives and valuables.
Following these directions, the Koral and Secretariat police teams used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of the bike lifter gang. The accused were identified as Hamad and Hamza.
Police team also recovered two stolen motorbikes and spare parts from their possession. Multiple cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Islamabad Ali Raza directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and ensured the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
