ISLAMABAD,- Chairman Senate, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, issued a heartfelt appeal to the nation, urging unity and collective effort towards Pakistan’s development and prosperity. On the occasion of Ashura Day, Gilani drew inspiration from the historic Battle of Karbala, where Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions made supreme sacrifices for the protection of Islamic values.
Gilani hailed the bravery and determination of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, citing their sacrifices as a beacon of hope and guidance in every aspect of life. He emphasized the importance of emulating their courage and standing firm against oppression and injustice.
The chairman senate stressed the need for dialogue and understanding among different schools of thought, promoting the fundamental principles of Islam: patience, compassion, tolerance, dialogue, and social justice. He urged the nation to adapt their lives according to the teachings of Imam Hussain (RA) and strive for success in this world and the hereafter.
With a united vision, Gilani appealed to all Pakistanis to work together for the country’s prosperity, praying for the ability to learn from the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, and move forward with courage and perseverance.
