Pakistan Launches Landmark National Drug Survey to Tackle Narcotics Epidemic
ISLAMABAD: In a bold move to combat the scourge of drug abuse, Pakistan has embarked on a comprehensive national drug survey, the first in over a decade. This groundbreaking initiative, approved by Interior and Anti-Narcotics Minister Mohsin Naqvi, aims to gather crucial data on drug users across the country, providing vital insights to inform anti-narcotics strategies.
The survey, a collaborative effort between the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, will cover a wide range of areas, including homes, educational institutions, and slums. International development organizations are also being roped in to ensure the survey’s success.
