NEW YORK, July 17 – In a significant showcase of Pakistani textile prowess, seven companies from the country are participating in the esteemed TEXWORLD-2024 exhibition, which kicked off in the bustling city of New York on Tuesday. The three-day event, held at the iconic Javit’s Centre, has drawn a large influx of buyers and industry experts, eager to explore the vast array of textile products on display.
Sponsored by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the Pakistani contingents are rubbing shoulders with over 600 exhibitors from around the globe, featuring an impressive spectrum of fabrics and garments. The country’s Consul General in New York, Aamer Ahmed Atozai, and Trade & Investment Counsellor Adnan Awan, visited the Pakistani booths, where they witnessed fruitful interactions between local businesses and international buyers.
The TDAP booth itself became a hub of interest, with numerous buyers inquiring about sourcing opportunities from Pakistan and expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming Texpo exhibition in Karachi, slated for October this year. This remarkable display of Pakistani textile excellence is poised to strengthen the country’s position in the global market and forge meaningful connections with industry leaders worldwide.
